About Mekorama
Mekorama is a quiet puzzle game about guiding a tiny robot through miniature mechanical worlds. Each level is a floating diorama made of blocks, ramps, lifts and moving platforms. Your robot, called B, walks forward on its own when you tap a spot, and your job is to find a way to the exit by changing the world around it.
The puzzles use rotating pieces, sliding bridges, switches and cranks. You turn a handle, a platform moves, and a path appears, but only if you do it in the right order. Because the camera can be rotated freely, you can examine each level from every angle, which is half the fun. Often the solution only becomes visible when you view the scene from a different side.
The game contains many hand-built levels that start easy and gradually become tricky. It also includes a community side, with an editor that lets players build their own levels and share them, so the content keeps growing. If you enjoy creativity, building a small level yourself is a surprisingly rewarding challenge, and playing levels made by others is a great way to learn new tricks.
When you get stuck, remember that Mekorama is about patience. Move the camera around, look for any handle or switch you have not touched, and test one change at a time. If the robot cannot reach a spot, ask whether another platform can carry it there. Many levels also hide small collectibles, which add a little extra challenge for those who love exploring.
The visuals are simple and tidy, with soft colours and clear lighting, and the audio is gentle. That makes the game relaxing, and it is suitable for all ages. There are no timers, no enemies and no losing, so you can think through each puzzle at your own pace. It also works offline, and its file size is modest.
The game is also a gentle introduction to spatial thinking. Rotating objects in your mind, predicting how a moving platform will line up and planning a route several steps ahead are all useful skills, and they develop naturally as you play. Children often take to it quickly, and many adults find it a calm alternative to faster games.
Mekorama is available for free with optional purchases and is published for mobile by Fancade. If you like logic puzzles with a hands-on, tactile feel, this is a charming and inventive game.
