About Flow Free
Flow Free is a minimalist puzzle that asks one simple thing: connect matching coloured dots with pipes so that every square on the board is filled. The pipes cannot cross or overlap, so each solution is a small logic problem. It sounds easy at first, and it often is, until the board gets larger and the colours multiply.
You draw a line by dragging your finger from one dot to its partner. If you cross another line, it is erased, which means you have to think about the order in which you connect colours. Early levels use five-by-five boards and only a few colours. Later, boards grow to fifteen by fifteen, and there can be many pairs, making it a real test of planning.
The game offers many levels organised in packs. Each pack has a steady difficulty, and you can choose how hard you want to go. There are also timed modes for those who like a challenge, and daily puzzles for variety. A free play mode lets you choose any pack without worrying about unlocking. The look is clean, with bright dots on a dark background, which makes the game easy on the eyes.
Strategy is mostly about careful observation. Start with the dots that are in corners or along edges, since their paths are most constrained. Look for squares that can only be reached from one direction and fill them first. Avoid leaving empty pockets that cannot be reached later. When stuck, try working backward from a difficult colour instead of connecting the easy ones first.
The puzzle teaches patience and spatial thinking without feeling like homework. Because there is no pressure, it makes a good companion for quiet moments, and it works offline. Hints are available when you are really stuck, and they are limited so that you still earn your solutions. Children can enjoy the smaller boards, and adults can lose an afternoon in the bigger ones.
Flow Free is free with ads, and there is an optional purchase to remove them.
If you like clean, thoughtful puzzles that need only a finger and a bit of concentration, Flow Free is a very satisfying option. A short session can be as rewarding as a long one, and the feeling of filling the final square is always pleasant.
